Recalls Cariboo™ Baby Changing
Tables Due to Fall Hazard
The U.S. Consumer Product
Safety Commission, in cooperation
with the firm named below,
today announced a voluntary
recall of the following consumer
product. Consumers should
stop using recalled products
immediately unless otherwise
instructed.

Cariboo™ Folding Changing
Tables and Cariboo™ Bassinet
Changers
Units: About
90 Folding Changing Tables
and about 40 Bassinet Changers
Importer/Distributor:
Scandinavian Child, of Raleigh,
N.C.
Hazard:
If the zipper is misaligned,
it can come apart and allow
the cloth surface to separate,
posing a fall hazard to the
baby.
Incidents/Injuries:
The firm has received one
report of the zipper coming
apart. No injuries have been
reported.
Description:
The frame of the folding changing
table is made of wood with
two folding legs and has a
cream colored changing table
cloth surface with zippers
and side pockets. The product
also has a bottom shelf cloth
with Velcro strips. The frame
of the bassinet changer is
made of wood and has a cream
colored changing table cloth
surface with zippers that
attaches to the top rails.
Sold at:
Retailers nationwide and on
several online merchants from
September 2005 through September
2006 for about $260 and $120
respectively.
Manufactured in:
New Zealand.
Remedy:
Consumers should stop using
the changing tables immediately
and contact Scandinavian Child
to receive a replacement product.
Scandinavian Child will notify
all known purchasers.
