It is hard to believe that July is here already. The 4th is right around the corner along with all the barbeques, fireworks and family fun. Here are a few tips to have a safe, yet fun experience with fireworks on Independence Day.
  • Use fireworks in a wide open space outdoors and away from your house.
  • Make sure tFireworkso have a hose or bucket of water close to extinguish the fireworks.
  • Only use fireworks that are legal in your area. If the type of firework is illegal in your area, it is probably best that you don't use them.
  • If the firework being set off is a dud, make sure not to relight it because it may not work properly. Instead wait 20 minutes then soak the firework in water.
  • Never use or attempt to make home-made fireworks. These are dangerous and could injure or kill someone around you.
  • Use common sense by make sure that people watching are far enough away and that the person lighting the fireworks have protective gear on.
Have fun and be safe!
